London Tech Week

London Tech Week is an annual festival of live events held in London to showcase and celebrate top tech enthusiasts from across the globe while offering them a platform to learn, connect and cooperate. The event was launched in 2014 by London & Partners and Tech London Advocates and this year saw new collaborations with KNect365.

During the opening ceremony of this year’s event, Sadiq Khan the mayor of London elucidated that London is among the top technological hubs in Europe with over 200,000 experts contributing nearly £18bn to the UK economy. He further clarified that the primary objective of the annual event is to reinforce London’s rank as a global capital of technology.

London Tech Week 2018 Festival – Workshops, Demos and Tech Summit Information

The just concluded London Tech Week 2017 that began on 12th June and ended on 16th June saw many events ranging from debates, demos, meetups, workshops, large-scale conferences and parties attended by nearly 40,000 individuals from 70 nations.

The event ‘Leaders in Tech Summit’ is a key event that occurred on the 13th and 14th June. The event is attended by various C-suite category executives of start-ups and big tech companies that are working in similar and contrasting divisions within the industry. During this year, the objective was to harness innovation for universal competitiveness.

Among the Ambassadors of the event this year, included Facebook EMEA VP, Nicola Mendelsohn, Passion Capital associate, Eileen Burbidge, MBE and Deputy London Mayor, Rajesh Agarwal and Mind Candy creator, Michael Acton-Smith among several others. Besides, the London Tech Week 2017 received backing from its supporters including ExCeL, UKTI, techUK and the Tech City UK.
